European Healthcare Design

When: 27th – 28th June
Where: Royal College of Physicians, 11 Andrews Place, London NW1 4LE

Healthcare directors Benedict Zucchi and Ged Couser are presenting at this year’s European Healthcare Design conference. In Session 11, at 10.45 on the second day, Benedict will talk about creating successful places and a vision for sustainable user-centred design particularly for the new Dublin Children’s Hospital on which he and his team are currently working. He will be followed at 11.10 by Ged, along with David Powell from Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, who will present on innovation at the award winning Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.

Ged will also lead a study tour of Alder Hey on 29th June to view the hospital rising out of its parkland setting, where its undulating profile makes it instantly recognisable and a striking and iconic gateway to Liverpool. Alder Hey Children’s Hospital has won a series of awards including an RIBA National Award, one of only three healthcare projects to be recognised, and was officially opened by The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.
