I Am Visible

WHEN: Thursday 9th March
WHERE: Newham College, Welfare Road, London E15 4HT

Planning director Anna Sinnott has been invited to speak for the I am Visible initiative during the week celebrating International Women’s Day. The initiative is a women in leadership campaign which combats the lack of positive female role models and mentors in leadership positions, particularly in male-dominated industries. This year it aims to inspire 15,000 schoolgirls and young women through talks and workshops in schools and colleges. Anna will talk about her career path, the challenges she has faced and what she has done to ensure women are given full recognition in the workplace. Following the presentation there will be a question and answer session.

Anna has worked on a wide range of projects requiring a variety of technical skills which include environmental impact assessment, planning consultancy, policy planning and masterplanning. Her effective communication and negotiation skills have been fundamental to the successful implementation of large urbanism projects such as Xi’an Cultural Central Business District, Qingdao Westcoast, London South Bank University, Norwich Research Park and Whitechapel Vision.
