Building Brum: The Housing Debate

When: Tuesday 14th May 18.00 – 21.00

Kieren Majhail has organised a housing debate for Building Brum, focusing on the theme of Quality or Quantity and how to successfully achieve quality homes and places in an uncertain market. The event is co-hosted by our Birmingham studio and head of housing, Stephen Marshall, joins a panel of expert speakers including Louise Wyman (WMCA), Mary Parsons (TCPA), Nathan Cornish (Urban Splash), Pooja Agrawal (Public Practice), Andrew Taylor (Countryside Properties), Sue Morgan (Architecture and Built Environment Design Council), Andrew Fuller (Birmingham City Council) and Dave Sheridan (Ilke Homes). 

Chaired by RIBA president, Ben Derbyshire, the panel will explore the provision of really affordable homes and ask if a public and private sector collaboration can help drive up numbers and quality and whether manufacturing and digitalisation of housing drives up quality or just increases quantity. Drinks and canapes will be provided and the opportunity to network and discuss the current housing issues. Tickets can be booked using the link below.
