Nirlon wins at Indian Smart Living Awards

The Nirlon Knowledge Park in Goregaon, Mumbai, a project masterplanned and landscaped by BDP’s Dutch/Indian studio BDP Khandekar as part of the development team, has stormed India’s prestigious Smart Living Awards.

These awards recognise the best in the Indian Real Estate Business and Nirlon KP left with three prizes.

• Best Corporate Space-  IT Parks/SEZ category
• Best Green Project – Commercial category
• Safest Project – all categories

BDP Khandekar developed the concept to transform a well situated but disused former industrial complex into a high density high quality IT park. Three building zones are situated around the key design feature, a focal public central park zone. Some of the old buildings were retained, strengthening the historical context and the identity of the place, including an old cooling tower which has been converted into a grand cafe.
