Success for BDP at Civic Trust Awards 2016

The UK Pavilion, Milan Expo has won both a Pro Tem Award and the Pro Tem Special Award at the Civic Trust Awards, announced on 4th March at an event at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London. The Technology and Innovation Centre, University of Strathclyde won a Commendation and our environmental engineers worked on the Grade II* listed Manchester Central Library which also won an award.

58 national and international projects were rewarded with a Civic Trust Award or Commendation and in addition, seven Special Awards were presented to projects that have demonstrated outstanding credentials in specific areas. The awards are given to projects of the highest quality design that must also have made a positive cultural, social or economic contribution to the local community.

David Pritchard, National Panel said: "The UK Pavilion in Milan showcased British ideas, creativity and flair in science, engineering, art and architecture. The National Panel's decision was unanimous."
