Peter Coleman is appointed Mayor’s Design Advocate

BDP Principal and head of retail Peter Coleman has been appointed one of the Mayor of London’s Design Advocates.

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan announced the appointments on 10 July when he launched his Good Growth by Design programme to enhance the design of buildings and neighbourhoods for all Londoners as the city’s population heads towards 10 million people.

Peter said: “I am delighted to be selected as one of Sadiq Kahn's Design Advocates to assist with his vision for London Good Growth By Design. The three key principles I will be looking for in proposals will be design quality, the team having the appropriate skills and the site's unique urban characteristics being addressed.”

The 50 architects and designers appointed as advocates are made up of fifty percent women and a quarter from BAME backgrounds.
