Go ahead for public realm redevelopment in Ireland

Plans to redevelop Clanbrassil Street and St Nicholas Quarter in Dundalk’s town centre have been approved by councilors.

The project for Louth County Council has progressed to detailed design stage and architect director Gareth Maguire and landscape architect director Mehron Kirk are leading a public realm scheme.

An urban open space with wider footpaths, planting and seating will rejuvenate the site and the public area will be reconfigured with resurfaced footpaths, parking bays and improved carriageways. Works are scheduled to begin at the end of the year.
