Project details

A modern, new visitor centre with cafe, meeting and education spaces and associated facilities for Clevedon Pier; the only operating Grade 1 listed pier in the UK.  This project secures the future for the pier, making an attractive visitor attraction serving quality food and creating a revenue stream to invest into the maintenance of the splendid Victorian structure.

The proposal to excavate the ramp is ingenious. The design of the proposed new structure; a lightweight element that emerges gently from the camber of the ramp appears well considered.
