Future Proofing through Intelligent Cities

BDP is hosting a talk by John Jung, CEO of Canada’s Technology Triangle in Ontario, (www.ontariotechnologycorridor.com) on Thursday 18th March in the hub space starting with drinks at 5.00 pm and the talk at 5.15 pm.  He will explore key actions that institutions, businesses and government leaders should undertake to help future-proof and make their cities successful.  John is also the Chairman and co-founder of the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) in New York (www.intelligentcommunity.org) which has been studying and promoting best practice towards creating better and more intelligent communities and he will discuss strategies that communities should be pursuing based on experiences with nearly 100 international cities.

John is an award-winning registered urban planner, urban designer, economic developer and global speaker on planning, development, urban design and economic development related issues, including ‘intelligent communities.’ He is a graduate of the University of Waterloo in Urban & Regional Planning and holds a Masters in Urban Design from Manchester University. John has also received two honorary doctoral degrees for his international work from international universities.
