Gavin Elliott

Gavin is a main board director and head of our Manchester studio. He and his team have particular strength in education, residential, sports and interior projects in the region.

Gavin joined BDP straight from university and he has had the good fortune that nearly all the projects he has worked on have been built.  Recent completions have been – Aintree Racecourse, Abito apartments and Devonshire Primary school – all award winners and now The Point hospitality building at the Lancashire Country Cricket Club.

What is your biggest personal influence?
I think you learn all the time, from everyone – which is why it’s great to work in a big practice with so many clever people. But the core attributes of the architect as a shaper of space and creator of places remain the same.
