John Tinner

John has developed a role in project delivery, primarily in PFI and design and build contracts. He is also CDM director for the Sheffield studio.

In almost 20 years at BDP John has worked on a broad range of projects –
in retail these include the White Rose Centre, Leeds and projects for Marks & Spencer,

In higher education he has worked on university projects at York and Lincoln,

More recently in healthcare his projects include the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham and Romford Hospital which was delivered on time, budget and for a satisfied client and end user.  It also won PFI project of the Year 2007.

How do you see the architectural practices in the future?
"They will be fewer in quantity but better equipped to deal with challenges of fast track, off-site fabrication techniques with the attendant benefits for the environment and safety."
