David Cash has contributed to the #wheniwas14 project run by the initiative Greeate. Greeate aims to inspire, encourage and motivate young people; opening their eyes to the wide range of career paths available to them.
Charity Construction Cup
BDP took part in the inaugural Construction Cup, a charity football tournament hosted by Nightingale Associates. A total of £2,900 was raised to be split between Macmillan Cancer Support, Sobell House Hospice and the British Heart Foundation.
Ambition Week - St Joseph's Primary School
BDP architectural and engineering directors supported this Convent Garden based school’s ‘Ambition Week’ which encourages students to consider a range of careers open to them.
Missing People
BDP’s relationship with Missing People goes from strength to strength, as well as taking part in sponsored running and cycling events, we are redesigning their office as a donation led project using our skills and expertise.
Project Initiated Apprenticeships
As part of the Manchester Town Hall Complex Transformation Project, BDP is taking on apprentices.
Manchester Garden City Initiative
This is a joint initiative in support of a long-term strategy to make Manchester city centre greener and a number of sites have been identified across the city centre.
Cycle for Jo
Following the tragic death of our colleague Jo Yeates in December 2010, BDP decided to dedicate the Tour (which was part of our 50 year celebrations) to raising money for charities as a way of paying tribute to Jo.
Future Hope Charity
Linked to the Bristol studio, provides education and a way out of poverty for some of the thousands of children who live on the railways of Kolkata.
Maggies Night Hike
This is a charity supported by employees in the London studio and every year they do a 10 or 20 mile hike through late night London. The London lighting team also provide a centre piece for the event.
CEFPI - School of the Future Design
Central CIT assisted and hosted the UK final of the School of the Future Design Competition – a contest for young students across the globe to develop an understanding of design, engineering and construction.
Schools' Trips BDP Exhibition for 61/11
As part of BDP's 50 year celebration pupils from three of the schools designed by the practice were invited along to view the exhibition and take part in a number of fun learning activities.
The Whirlow Hall Farm Trust
Sponsored by the Sheffield studio this a charity which works with inner city children and young people with special needs or disabilities.
Stephen Lawrence Trust
Senior staff act as mentors for the Stephen Lawrence Trust, a body aiming to encourage a wider base of individuals into the architectural and related professions.
Coppafeel
A breast cancer charity that BDP has been supporting by providing workspace and associated facilities in the London studio.
Brit Centre of Inspirational Excellence
This is a charity aimed at helping inspire young people facing adversity to regain their self-belief to make aspiring choices. BDP employees are giving their time to help build the centre.
Business Works Mentoring Scheme
Is based in Islington (London) and is aimed at mentoring young people in care or who have come from another country seeking asylum.
Business and Education South Yorkshire
Works with the Sheffield studio to help secondary school students gain work experience.
BDP Birmingham Charity Bike Ride 2012
The Birmingham studio has cycled to raise money for charity.
BDP Marathoners
Will be taking part in two separate but equally grueling marathons in 2012 as part of our continued support for Missing People.
BUPA Great Manchester Run
Every year the Manchester studio sports and social committee supplements the entry fee of employees who wish to take part. Money raised is given to the sports and social committee's chosen charity.
London Open House
Annual participation guiding visitors around our buildings.

Supporters going to schools and hosting them in our studios, introducing primary school children to the built environment and design.
VocalEyes, a charity for blind people
BDP provided VocalEyes with architectural information and tour leaders so that the charity could allow blind people to experience the renovations to the Royal Albert Hall through touch and audio reference.
Benjamin Street Gardens
Staff in the London studio gardening during lunch hours to renew the gardens.
Islington Schools workshops
This is an opportunity for BDP to interact directly with students from these schools and allow young people to participate in design workshop with architects and engineers.
