Why you chose your profession
I’ve always had an interest in design, particularly of houses and schools and the places that people inhabit. The availability of international projects and opportunities within Architecture also appeals to me; I would like to be able to travel at a later stage in my career.

The Work
Working in the Living and Learning Studio has reinforced my interest in designing houses and schools. It is stimulating to work in close collaboration with other disciplines. I particularly liked working with the Landscape Studio on the Brighton project.

Why BDP?
I have always felt part of a team and had the opportunity to work on a range of projects during my time at BDP.  The Directors are approachable and they listen to ideas and feedback.

Achievements to date
Marta was BDP’s first recipient of the Nick Terry Murray Edwards College Award, a three year bursary in support of women within the design profession.
