Beverwijk Centre area

Adjoining the historic city centre of Beverwijk is an open area which is presently used for parking.

The urban design plan of BDP.khandekar extends the city centre atmosphere to this area by building a high-density mixed-use development in which commercial areas on ground-floor are topped by diverse housing. A cosy new shopping street ends on two sides at two newly defined squares, one of which faces the historic church. The car-parking areas have been accommodated under the whole new development.
