BDP to Speak at Finnish Technical Forum

BDP has been invited to join forces with Finnish companies Halton and Granlund to contribute to an international leaders' forum entitled 'Building Services in Future'

The conference, to be held in Helsinki on 15 - 18 June (2005), will serve as a discussion forum on the future development of the industry.  It will also aim to show how competitive advantage can be achieved through the use of ICT building modelling and visualisation techniques.  The forum will be attended by delegates from 15 countries including developers, investors, contractors, research organisations and end users - some of whom will address the group on the subject of their own needs as clients.

BDP directors Bob Spittle - Building Services Engineer, and Martin Cook - Interior Designer and head of BDP Design, will speak on a variety of topics - 3D and Building Information Modelling (BIM); The Future Workplace; a Case Study on Chilled Ceilings featuring the BBC Mailbox project amongst others; and Visualisation Techniques.

Bob Spittle said "Finland is one of the countries along with Norway and Singapore, leading the world in the use of integrated building and construction software systems.  This forum will be an enormously high profile grouping discussing building performance targets, benchmarking, and the IT tools that now exist to monitor and manage the process . I am very pleased to be speaking at it and I am sure I will come away from it enlightened."
