BDP wins Low Carbon Performance Award

BDP’s Belfast studio has won the Best Carbon Saving Programme award, SME category - in the Low Carbon Performance Awards 2009 presented on Wednesday 4 February.

The awards were the culmination of the third annual national carbon clean up campaign, run by The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE), to raise awareness of actions organisations can take to reduce the carbon emissions of their buildings.

As participants of the 100 hours of carbon cleanup campaign the BDP studio used it to change employee behaviour using a '12-a-day' message (12 actions per day), which was delivered electronically to employees and overseen by low carbon champions within the office.
