University of the West of England, Student Village and Sport Facility

Masterplan and student village providing accommodation for 2,000 students.

The BDP designed campus now houses 2000 students. The residences are arranged in four courtyards of six and seven storey blocks. They were crafted, using an innovative precast flat-pack system, as a forward thinking sustainable development from the outset conserving energy and minimising waste.

The system was selected for durability, good acoustic and fire qualities, high thermal mass and compatibility with preferred cladding systems. All the bedrooms come complete with bespoke large desks, well-designed storage and pre-fabricated concrete bathroom pods.
