Frank’ s main responsibilities include client communication, and co-ordination between consultants and the project team, creating innovative design and construction techniques to streamline the process from inception to handover.
He has also been able to use his personal experience in China which has been great benefit when communicating with the local specialists.
Frank is currently based in Shanghai working alongside a key BDP client to deliver a major shopping centre in Beijing.
After joining BDP in 2008 Frank successfully delivered a large student accommodation scheme in north London utilising prefabrication and off-site construction. He was also involved in the design of an office project in Paris and had the leading role in managing the complex technical delivery co-ordination of London’s Whitechapel station for Crossrail UK.
Having worked in China before joining BDP, he has extensive experience both in residential and commercialas well as retail sectors.
Looking ahead, what will be the key characteristic of the industry in 2050?
Pre-fabrication of buildings that produce their own energy, as well as ecological refurbishments of the existing building stock
