Andrew is a principal and leader of the landscape architecture profession within the practice. He is responsible for BDP’s London Urbanism Studio and chairs the Rotterdam studio.

There, he leads a creative team of landscape architects, urban planners, urban designers and masterplanners on a diverse portfolio of national and international projects.

Andrew works across all sectors and has led successful education, healthcare, leisure, retail and workplace projects. His teams have won many awards, including the GLA’s Best New Public Space in London on four occasions in the last eight years.

Overseas he helped establish BDP’s studio in Delhi and has led design teams on projects in many European countries, as well as in China, Mexico and the Middle East. Most recently he was based in Christchurch New Zealand  where a team was located for over a year preparing detailed design proposals for regeneration of the earthquake damaged city.

Where do you see your profession in the future?

It’s taken a little while, but good landscape and urban design is finally shaping the way we think about our environment and will do so into the future.
