IALD Chase the Dark

When: Thursday 2nd October 18.00 Meet at St Peter’s Square 
Where: Rates Hall, Manchester Town Hall Extension

BDP’s lighting designers will be hosting IALD’s Chase The Dark Manchester in the newly opened and refurbished Rates Hall in Manchester's Town Hall Extension. Over 25 cities are taking part in the initiative which encourages attendees to create a unique lantern using a piece of A1 paper and a battery powered light source in just an hour.  Once the time is up lanterns will be photographed and tweeted to #ialdchasedark for a live Twitter feed and drinks and food will be provided.  The event is open to everyone but please RSVP to rhiannon.west@bdp.com.

For the past 5 years, BDP’s environmental engineers have worked in conjunction with Ian Simpson Architects and Ryders to refurbish the Town Hall Extension and Central Library. Our light installation offers an opportunity to come along and see the Rates Hall in the Town Hall Extension.
