The Academy of Urbanism, Learning from Europe 2014

The Academy of UrbanismWhen: Thursday 13th November – 18.00 – 21.00
Where: BDP, 16 Brewhouse Yard, London EC1V 4LJ - map & directions

BDP’s London studio is once again pleased to be hosting the Academy of Urbanism’s Learning from Europe seminar which takes place the evening before the Academy’s annual awards ceremony. Chair of Landscape Architecture and of BDP Khandekar, Andrew Tindsley, will introduce the event which, this year, welcomes delegations from the cities of Aarhus, Rotterdam and Turin who will present their cities prior to finding out the following day which one has won the title of European City of the Year.

Aarhus is building on its position as Denmark’s second city through innovative sustainable growth to create new communities and a regenerated waterfront and tramway system. Rotterdam is maintaining its position as Europe’s leading port, delivering large-scale transformational change whilst also developing smaller community-led projects and Turin continues its journey from an industrial city to a modern destination for a number of knowledge-based businesses.

Tickets for the evening can be booked here http://www.academyofurbanism.org.uk/events/learning-from-europe-2014/
