BCO Study Tour

When: Friday 12th June 12.15 – 14.00
Where: 121 George Street, Glasgow, G1 1RD

Glasgow studio architect director Christoph Ackermann will present the masterplan and two of BDP’s latest science and research projects at a BCO regional study tour.  Inovo, which completed in September 2013, is the first office building in Glasgow to achieve an ‘A’ energy performance certificate and a BREEAM Excellent rating and won a BCO Scottish region award for Best Commercial Workplace.  It was developed by Scottish Enterprise for the renewable energy sector and the building’s flexible accommodation and innovative design has already attracted some of the industry’s key players.

The tour will then visit the Technology and Innovation Centre, a research hub developed by Strathclyde University for world-leading research.

The building facilitates research and knowledge exchange activities by incorporating flexible project, meeting and office space, alongside high quality research and laboratory accommodation including cleanrooms, world class equipment, specialist laser optics materials laboratories and high voltage facilities.

Following the tour there will be a networking lunch and the event is open to both members and non-members.
