NLA – Why I Design

When: Friday 25th September 14.30 – 16.00
Where: Designjunction, The College, 12-42 Southampton Row, London WC1B 4AP

Lighting director Colin Ball is one of the presenters at a New London Architecture event, designjunction, which forms part of this year’s London Design Festival.  Colin will join five other speakers in a lively, informal PechaKucha style presentation where they each speak to 20 images for 20 seconds on why they became designers.  He will talk about his passion for lighting, referencing BDP’s lighting scheme for the award-winning UK Pavilion at Milan Expo as well as his inspiration for illuminating the Tower of London for the upcoming Night of Heritage Light on 1st October.  NOHL is a unique event, organised by Society of Light and Lighting, to light 10 UNESCO World Heritage sites throughout the UK and Colin has been invited to collaborate by Iain Ruxton of Spiers and Major.

Designjunction is open to registered delegates 24th – 27th September and full details of the programme can be found in the link below.
