Regeneration 2015 New Beginnings – the city and economic resilience

When: Friday 20th November 12.00 – 17.00
Where: Dublin Institute of Technology, Grangegorman Campus, St Lawrence’s Building, Dublin 7

Urban designer Conor Moloney is one of the speakers at Regeneration 2015, the third annual regeneration and development conference at the new Dublin Institute of Technology Grangegorman Campus.  He will speak at 16.15 in Session Two on the subject of new beginnings focusing on city resilience and how it needs to be considered in conjunction with adaptation, its limits and the drivers for change.

Using the new innovation in public housing in London as a case study he will present an analysis of the loss of public sector housing and the development, by local authorities, of Special Purpose Vehicles for rental on private sector terms to people on housing lists.

With speakers from Ireland, the UK and Netherlands the conference offers practitioners, students and community workers the opportunity to discuss regeneration in Ireland and the lessons to be learnt from other cities in developing economic, social and physical regeneration.  Places can be booked using the link below.

BDP’s Dublin studio is designing an innovation and research hub on the Grangegorman Campus to support further research facilities with labs, academic, staff and student meeting spaces.
