2nd Health Facilities Design and Development Qatar

When: 28th – 29th March
Where: InterContinental Doha, Al Isteqlal Road, West Bay Lagoon, Doha 6822, Qatar

Healthcare director Benedict Zucchi will present the award winning Alder Hey Children’s Hospital as an international case study at 12.00 pm on day one of the 2nd Annual Health Facilities Design and Development conference in Qatar. He will highlight how BDP’s approach to humanising healthcare helps meet the psychological needs of patients as well as improving overall patient, relative and staff satisfaction. This design ethos at Alder Hey resulted in a signature and very individual building now considered one of the best of its kind in the world.

Also on day one at 13.10 Benedict will join a panel discussion on the journey of the patient which looks at the importance of a patient-centred care model to create a less stressful clinical environment and higher sense of comfort. On day two of the conference he will join another panel discussion at 10.15 exploring the crucial challenges of stakeholder management to ensure clients, contractors and end users are involved in all stages of the project design and looking at best practice to set realistic targets and manage expectations.
