Future Cities Forum

Retail director Garry Wilding is one of the panellists discussing the future of city food quarters and the High Street for a Future Cities Forum on Art and Science Regeneration. The conference will begin with Tristram Hunt, V&A director, presenting on the making of great cities after which there will be six different panel discussions covering various aspects of city regeneration and heritage and public realm investment. Garry is currently leading the BDP team designing the new Leisure Hall at Meadowhall, Sheffield which will add a range of dining and entertainment experiences not currently available including new restaurants, a state-of-the-art cinema, a new café court, gym and other leisure space under a spectacular glazed roof.

The following day Garry will lead a REVO study tour to the Lexicon, Bracknell ahead of its opening in September. The Lexicon is a next generation shopping and leisure destination with a vibrant mix of brands and experiences providing a new social and cultural heart for Bracknell. The scheme comprises two department stores, retail units, restaurants and cafés, 10 screen cinema, multi storey car park and 92 apartments defining a series of new covered and open streets and civic squares.
