Future Manchester Symposium

Manchester studio Principal, and President of Manchester Architects, Ged Couser has organised an MSA Future Manchester Symposium to showcase some of the most significant projects in the city. The cross industry event features a series of presentations from leading designers including Carol Patterson (OMA), Jon Matthews (5Plus), Dave Green and Simon Critchley (SimpsonHaugh) discussing their current projects. BDP transport director Peter Jenkins will also present on the Ordsall Chord for which his team is designing all the major architectural and urban realm elements of the project, including the landscaping and lighting to the important public spaces and heritage features beneath the bridges and viaducts. Following the presentations Stephen Hodder (Hodder Associates) will chair a panel discussion on the issues impacting on the future of the city. Refreshments will be provided at this free event and tickets can be booked using the link below.

Manchester Architects will also be holding its annual awards evening on Wednesday 14th June at the same venue. This year they will be judged by Edinburgh architect Richard Murphy and hosted by Jonathan Schofield. There will be 14 categories in total including the much sought after Lifetime Achievement Award.
