Healthy Cities

When: Monday 9th October 08.30 – 13.00
Where: The Crystal Building, Royal Victoria Docks, Siemens Brothers Way, London, E16 1GB

Manchester principal Ged Couser joins the panel for Future Cities Forum 6 – Healthy Cities which explores designing healthier environments that boost physical and mental wellbeing. The conference consists of five panel discussions covering key matters in the city such as sustainable transport, healthy housing and the workplace and the importance of art and sport in the public realm for healthy living.

Ged will present the award-winning Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in a session focused on innovation in hospital design and how educating patients is essential in healthcare projects. Along with other healthcare experts they will discuss patient experience as well as the necessity for public health to be about much more than minimising risk.

Future Cities Forum was set up to debate best practice in urban investment, development and regeneration and to create a shared networking, written report and filmed resource.
