Queen Street Station Redevelopment

WHEN: Thursday 11th May 18.15
WHERE: Technology & Innovation Centre, University of Strathclyde, 99 George Street, Glasgow G1 1RD

Glasgow studio associate Ed Dymock is one of the speakers at an ICE event looking at the Edinburgh Glasgow Improvement Programme (EGIP) and the comprehensive redevelopment of Glasgow Queen Street Station which is a key part of the upgrade. Ed is leading an interdisciplinary BDP team and will be discussing the design proposals which see the 1970s structure replaced with a new concourse and upgraded station facilities to create a landmark modern station, reflecting its role as a gateway to the city of Glasgow. He will be joined by Alistair Wylie and Andrew Steven from Arup, the lead consultant, and the presentation will be introduced by Network Rail.

The event will be held in the award winning Technology & Innovation Centre at the University of Strathclyde which was also designed by our Glasgow studio and has just won the award for Innovative Building at the UKSPA annual conference and exhibition. Refreshments will be served from 17.30 and places can be booked using the link below or by joining the event online up to 15 minutes before broadcast.
