Transport-led Development in London and South East

WHEN: 17th January 09:30-17:40
WHERE: Pinsent Masons, 30 Crown Place, London EC2A 4ES

Planning director Anna Sinnott will present the impact of new transport schemes on designing future urban developments in London and the wider south east region at a conference organised by Waterfront Conference Company. BDP is currently  involved in station design and urban development surrounding a wide range of key stations in London including Victoria, Paddington, Bond Street, Liverpool Street, East Croydon, Ilford, Watford and Woolwich.

Anna will look at the integration of stations and the surrounding urban environment, the focus on design and delivery of masterplans, public realm, station design and the relevance of the changing characteristics and challenges facing town centres.  She will focus on the successful Whitechapel Vision where her team has prepared a masterplan adopted by LBTH as a planning policy with extensive consultation with stakeholders, landowners and the local community. This will result in 3,500 new homes, 5,000 local jobs and the creation of seven new public squares and open spaces, a striking new civic hub and the revitalisation of the area.
