BDP sponsors National Journalism Awards

BDP is once again sponsoring the architectural writer of the year award for the Annual National Journalism Awards organised by the International Building Press (IBP).

They are the only awards for journalists writing about the built environment and carry a prize of £500 for each category winner, and £1000 for the overall journalist of the year.

Entries in this category can reflect the specialist knowledge and discipline of the architectural critic’s vital link between the art of architecture and society’s understanding of it. Equally the work of architectural writers who observe and report upon events and issues within the world of architecture is relevant.

The award scheme is open to editors, staff journalists and freelance journalists working for business magazines, national and regional newspapers. All entries in each category must relate to the built environment sector, specifically architecture, civil engineering, commercial property, construction, design and housing/residential property.

Entries are open until 17 September and winners will be announced at an event in central London on 29 November.
