Deloitte Ride Across Britain

When: 8th – 16th September

Where: Land’s End to John O’Groats

BDP is supporting this year’s Deloitte Ride Across Britain in September when a team of seven from our Manchester and Sheffield studios will cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats in aid of charity. Principal Stephen Redfern, who has completed the ride in previous years, will be joined by Ed Darbyshire, Phil Ellis, Mark Howell, Maciej Olszak, Nic Slocombe and Matt Speight who will cycle 980 miles over nine days climbing a total of 51,969ft  and camping every night with the 800 other riders taking part.

The official charity of this year’s RAB is The Prince’s Trust which works with 13-30 year olds who are struggling in school or are unemployed, to transform their lives. Many of these people are in, leaving or have been in care and face issues such as homelessness, mental health issues, or have been in trouble with the law. The Prince’s Trust has eight core programmes including mentoring, training, confidence building and  work experience to enable the young people they support to achieve independence and stability.

The team would like to thank everybody who has already sponsored them and donations can be made on their fundraising page here.
