Deloitte Ride Across Britain
When: 7th – 15th September
Where: Land’s End to John O’Groats
BDP is again supporting the Deloitte Ride Across Britain in September and representing the practice this year is a team of six from our Dublin and Glasgow studios who will cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats in aid of charity. Jorge Barreno, Luke Cadman, Fergus Colman, Chris Hughes, Martin Jarvie and Daniel Valcarcel Manzano will cycle 980 miles over nine days climbing a total of 51,969ft and camping every night alongside all the other riders taking part.
The team will be raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, one of the largest British charities, which provides specialist healthcare, information and financial support to people affected by cancer. As well as helping with the medical needs of people affected by cancer, Macmillan also looks at the social, emotional and practical impact cancer can have and campaigns for better cancer care. Macmillan Cancer Support's goal is to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer in the UK.
The ride is a test of stamina and will, for which our team members have been training hard over the past months, and they would like to thank everybody who is supporting and sponsoring them. Donations can be made on their fundraising page here.
