Peter Drummond appointed to BCSC's Advisory Board

BDP Chief Executive Peter Drummond has been appointed to the Advisory Board of BCSC, the organisation representing the UK retail property industry. The Advisory Board is a group of industry leaders, with members elected by the wider BCSC membership. This group is representative of all sectoral interests of BCSC’s broad-based membership and supports the Executive Board in determining BCSC’s strategy and in adopting a BCSC position on any particular issue.

Peter has been actively involved in BCSC as Chairman of its annual conference in 2007, and as author of a commissioned study on retail-led regeneration and urban design, resulting in the acclaimed Urban Design for Retail Environments report (2002), and Future Shopping Places (2007) part of the Future of Retail Property programme, the most comprehensive retail property overview ever to be undertaken. Both these reports were undertaken with BDP director Tessa O’Neil.

Peter said: “This is a good time to get even more involved as the industry deals with recession and considers the next stage of how it creates and manages shopping places.”

BDP has also actively supported BCSC in the past with conference speakers Peter Coleman and Tessa O’Neil and Award Jury members Peter Coleman and Andrew Tindsley.
