BDP supports new architecture course

BDP has been working in partnership with the University of Sheffield’s School of Architecture on the creation of a new Collaborative Practice Part 2 Architecture course due to start in September 2015.

The course, which is a faster route to qualification,  blends practice based experience with academic research and learning, and proposes a two year programme where year one is based in practice and year two is based at the university full time.

BDP’s chairman David Cash said: “BDP has a long history of working with the University of Sheffield and is proud to have been working with them on this important initiative. Hopefully this will encourage and enable a more diverse range of students to study architecture and make their journey towards full qualification quicker and more straightforward. Two BDP based students have already signed up to be placed on the ‘alternative’ collaborative practice course.”

Other architects who also have been involved in the development of the course include AHMM, Carmody Groake, Hawkins/Brown, Penoyre and Prasad, Proctor and Matthews.

BDP hosted a reception at our London studio in March for students interested in the course. The event was filmed and can be seen on our YouTube channel.
