Plans submitted for Lordswood Girls' School, Birmingham

Plans have been submitted for a new sixth form centre and sports facilities at Lordswood Girls School in Birmingham. The new two storey extension to the school will provide a variety of flexible learning spaces arranged around a social heart with a new four court sports hall, changing rooms and study spaces replacing existing outdated facilities. This is BDP’s third project at the school following a science block extension and replacement of the façade fabric on a three storey teaching block.

The projects are jointly funded by the EFA’s Condition Improvement Fund and PSBP and delivery of this project concludes the school’s strategic development programme providing modern and exciting facilities for the growing sixth form population.

Work is anticipated to start in early November to deliver the new facilities for September 2017.
