BDP Annual Review 2017: Collaboration

The theme we are exploring this year is collaboration, a subject of particular relevance to the design and construction sector. As an interdisciplinary design organisation, collaborative working is one of our core values and following the coming together earlier this year of BDP with Nippon Koei, the major Japanese engineering practice, it has taken on a new and rather special dimension for us.

In this publication, a variety of approaches to the subject is explored through a series of thought pieces written by a range of contributors from across the practice. The pieces are illustrated by some of our current and recently completed projects including some of Nippon Koei’s work. We also celebrate the George Grenfell Baines Award, named in honour of the founder of our firm, and given to BDP’s best completed building of the year.
