Competition winning retail and leisure development in the fashionable Achrafieh area of Beirut.
The strategy was to develop the site in two phases. The first was a department anchor store. Phase two was the shopping centre linking to the department store.
Responding to the steeply sloping site, the retail units are on three levels, two with direct access to the street, with an additional leisure level consisting of an open courtyard and also a terraced garden overlooking the malls with 20 restaurants and 7 cinemas. The sloping site also allows all levels to be at least partially open to natural ventilation and daylight.
1500 car parking spaces on three levels below the centre.
