A new ‘health hub’ houses the Hull York Medical School, Faculty of Health and Social Care and the Applied Health Research Institute and provides a much needed social heart to establish and grow research in applied health within a state of the art clinical skills facility. The new building includes a range of multi-use meeting and teaching spaces, an innovative flexible learning space for 300 students, a problem based learning suite and informal collaboration and brainstorming spaces, bringing the academic faculties together to foster interdisciplinary working and collaboration.

The Health Campus development is part of BDP’s wider masterplan for the University of Hull which creates a new western gateway through a ‘learning and living’ spine, linking the east and west elements of the campus together.
