Project details

New Council headquarters building in the heart of Edinburgh.

Our team decided from the outset to create a landmark building which would demonstrate environmental excellence with exceptional levels of accessibility.  The new building replaces some 20 other council buildings.

Lengthy analysis of the surrounding buildings, and associated views to and from the site, resulted in a stepped section and massing that reflects the valley form against the backdrop of the Old Town.

Modern office accommodation for 1600 staff is integrated with enhanced public transport facilities.

(Waverley Court) will complement the historic centre of Edinburgh's World Heritage Site and is a wonderful asset for the city as well as providing a modern working environment for staff

Councillor Brian Fallon
