Schools

“Our world-class education spaces act to inspire children, teachers and communities. They create benefits such as improved health, motor skills development, psychological wellbeing and positive behaviour whilst being exciting places to learn.”
Sue Emms, Global Head of Education

Information

We have a reputation for the design of exemplar places of learning, illustrated by our award winning schools.

We recognise the critical importance of high quality school design and this continues to form a significant part of our work. We were particularly active in both the Academy and the Building Schools for the Future programmes and more recently we have been innovating to meet the challenge of low cost schools.

Our Stirling Prize shortlisted vertical school at Hampden Gurney reinvented the idea of the urban school and has stimulated a consistently creative approach to our work ever since.

Our design philosophy has produced an unrivalled body of work, representing quality and quantity; our schools have achieved outstanding levels of user satisfaction as evidenced by the Post Occupancy Evaluations we undertake.
