Erik leads the civil and structural engineering team in the Bristol studio.

His passion is structural design - large, small, old, new, complex, simple, unusual, run-of-mill or fast track and his wide range of experience makes him one of the ‘go to’ people for advice and mentoring.

Erik is very hands-on and takes personal responsibility for all projects within his team. He is a great believer in engaging closely with the client, design team and contractor and the value that innovation can bring to a project.

He is also closely involved with the Institution of Structural Engineers and is a former regional chairman.

What is the most exciting innovation in your industry?

Solar energy which creates truly sustainable underfloor heating. Also long spans in shallow depths. And computers that do amazing things.
