Oliver is an architect director based in Glasgow with extensive experience of mixed used projects.

He has worked on some of BDP’s largest retail projects including St James Quarter, Buchanan Galleries, Buchanan Gardens, Newbury Parkway, Silverburn and Braehead. The works on the St James Quarter have transformed this site in Edinburgh’s New Town with the inclusion of retail, residential, a five star hotel, apart hotel, cinema and car parking in this highly complex landmark project. He is involved in projects from concept design through to delivery.

What will mixed use developments look like in 2030?

Cities continue to evolve at pace and changes to retail habits have led to an oversupply in recent years. Future developments will look to address this imbalance by bringing together different uses within city centres. BDP will continue to be at the forefront of these complex projects addressing the differing requirements whilst ensuring that places are created for all to work, live and above all enjoy.
