John is a principal and has led some of our most important international retail and mixed use developments.

Since joining BDP John has worked in a number of studios in a variety of sectors including retail, education, residential and cultural buildings but he is now focused on transport.

John's remit covers the design of transport hubs for rail, air and bus. It is an important sector for BDP and John's aim is to grow this varied portfolio successfully both for us and for our clients.

Where do you see the architecture practices of the future?

There will be larger practices performing on a global stage.  The design specialisms that we have are now transferable across countries and continents. The brand of these international practices will become even more important.
