What’s the value? Creating social equity in New York’s urban neighborhoods

US-banner.jpg

As society demands integrity and commitment from organizations in their approach to ESG, how can we holistically integrate a socially equitable approach into the design and development process where buildings, places and infrastructure support and enhance environmental, economic and social wellbeing?

Equitable architecture and placemaking begins with learning about the people we are designing for. In this report, we set out:

  • The guiding principles which can be adopted to bring positive impact to New York’s urban neighborhoods
  • The multifunctional value this approach can bring the various stakeholder groups
  • How we help placemakers build credibility and trust within communities to realize the shared interests of business goals and social value
