Bristol Housing Festival

The RIBA has organised a series of lunch and learn sessions as part of their knowledge and learning prgoramme. In March, the RIBA launched with 'Architecture and Community', later in July looked at 'Architecture and Energy' and in October, 'Architecture and Housing'.

Alongside David Walton, Housing Director for Developing Health Independence (DHI) and Cllr Nicola Beech of Bristol City Council, Nick discussed the importance of solutions for inclusivity and more affordable housing in Bristol.

Using 'Gap House', an innovative eco-home designed by our Bristol studio, he talked about how placing these new, attractive and carefully designed houses in disused urban garage plots will not only help deliver much-needed homes, but also bring new energy and life, revitalising neighbourhoods and help to build stronger, more resilient communities in Bristol.
