Ensuring the future use of the airport, BDP devised a masterplan to help with increasing passenger numbers. The airport is at a critical moment in terms of its future development, with additional incoming multi-modal services and the development of Airport City. The design studies focus on the existing interchange location at the heart of the three air terminals and how it will evolve over a 25-year period during which air traveller numbers will rise from 20million to 50 million and the modal split will rise from 5% to 40% airport users utilising public transport.
