Alex Masheder
Group Quality Director

Alex is an architect and BDP’s group quality director for all studios.

With experience in mixed-use retail and regeneration, and historic sectors, Alex holds a dual skill set as an architect and chartered quality assurance professional. Recently completed projects include the award-winning Lexicon in Bracknell, the creation of a new town centre for one of the original New Towns. More lately, Alex has been engaged in the Restoration and Renewal of the Palace of Westminster as security strategy lead and contract quality manager. As group quality lead, Alex coordinates with studio quality managers and their teams, developing assurance models through our quality management system, overseeing audit operations and reporting under the Lloyd’s Register certifications for ISO 9001:2015 to the BDP board through continual improvement initiatives. At studio level, Alex has significant exposure to supporting functions and, more recently, as the London Studio compliance lead for Building Regulations Principal Designer (BRPD) activities, which includes coordinating studio representatives at a profession and project level. Alex is a member of the RIBA Principal Designer Register (HRB) and is a Building Regulations Principal Designer.
