Nick is a principal, chair of the landscape architecture profession and leads the London studio urbanism team.

He has extensive industry experience and has been instrumental in the design and implementation of many award-winning masterplans and public realm projects in both the UK and internationally. Major masterplans he has delivered include the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club at Wimbledon, Liverpool Ropewalks, North Mayfair and Whitechapel Crossrail Urban Integration.

Nick has also led teams working on major public realm work in many central London locations including Mayfair, Belgravia, Bloomsbury, Covent Garden, Limehouse and Paddington, to ensure that streets and spaces are designed and delivered to the highest standard. He has recently led the development of a public realm strategy for Victoria and is the public realm design lead for the joint venture team appointed by Westminster City Council for the regeneration of the Oxford Street District.

What will life be like in 2050?

We will have learnt from Covid-19 and will have embraced technology and the environment. We will still be social in nature and will have adapted our cities and neighbourhoods to increase flexibility and ensure that they are better equipped to support our health and public life.
