Kristen is an interior design director with experience in the healthcare, commercial and education sectors.

She has a particular interest in sustainable design and developing innovative restorative spaces for a variety of diverse clients, with her primary focus on healthcare design. She has worked on some complex international projects which include the British High Commission in Abuja Nigeria, Dublin Children’s Hospital, The Christie, Royal Pharmaceutical Society, Schoen Clinic, Manchester Engineering Campus Development, St Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids Iowa, and Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield Illinois.

Kristen began her career in Chicago before moving to London and this has given her a wide spectrum of work as a design director for schemes in the USA, Europe, Africa and Asia, including several award-winning office fit-out and healthcare projects. She enjoys working on a range of interior design projects, of all scales, and her focus is always on her connection with her clients and delivering their vision.

Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children

BDP has been overseeing the phased redevelopment of Great Ormond Street Hospital in Bloomsbury, London.

Teaching, Trauma and Tertiary Care Centre (3Ts)

Two new state-of-the-art hospital buildings will bring Elderly Care, General Medicine, HIV and Clinical Infection wards up to modern standards, and establish the hospital as the Major Trauma Centre for the region. The new build will include 361 beds, 65% of which will be in single en-suite rooms, a helipad and additional parking spaces underground.

Grange University Hospital

An award winning specialist hospital the centre of a new model of healthcare delivery serving over 600,000 people in the Gwent countryside. A section of the hospital opened early in 2019/20 to help cope with covid-19 cases and went on to be fully completed 42 weeks early through modern methods of construction and an exemplary collaborative 'one team' approach.
